File Extension VAI Description:

The PhotoDub Album is an application capable of organizing your digital images into a talking picture album. With it, you can edit your images, group them into categories, and add audio to them in case they will be used for presentations. The process of adding audio to these images is called voice dubbing. The dubbed images are saved in files with the .vai file extension. VAI means Voice and Image.

Files with the .vai file extension can be edited with most common editing tools such as red eye correction, contrast and brightness, image enhancement, cropping and rotation, etc. and can be merged with one or more images to create an album. The images can be placed on top of one another (overlay) to get special effects such as those in a collage, can be inserted with text, and can be added with text boxes.

PhotoDub's main interface has four regions such as the top region that shows where the user is currently working on, the left region where all the subcommands available while you are working are located, the right region where the actual picture you are working on can be viewed, and the bottom region where the thumbnails of your favorite pictures are displayed.

The application starts with the selection of a picture file and a recorded voice that can be combined to create a file with the .vai file extension. The quality of the voice along with the size of the picture affects the transmission speed of the combined file. This file can be played only with the use of a separate program called the PhotoDub Player.

The most unique characteristic of a file with the .vai file extension is that it can be dubbed with your own voice, can be inserted with pre-recorded audio, or a combination of both. The audio can be edited by either inserting or deleting segments, can be added with special sound effects, can be added with silence, can be normalized, can be applied with echo, and the volume can be increased or decreased.

Files with the .vai file extension can also be sent via email using the built-in PhotoDub email client or you can use your own email client.

You can send the album itself or you can send selected groups of images in your album, or you can send individual files with or without the voice or audio.
